Unraveling after getting rejected by my “ideal guy”

A few things could be happening here, either he’s not as ideal as you think or he was being truthful with wrong timing and just had a major breakup.

I do know that he got out of a long term relationship 6 months ago and that I was the first person he went on a date with after his break up but I do find it kind of hard to believe that he’s just going to delete his dating apps and stop dating. I don’t know I had to remove him off of hinge so that I couldn’t check if he was still active lol

I definitely agree but in this instance I wasn’t doing anything to suggest that I wanted something serious. If anything, he’s who was coming on too strong and I just followed his lead. I think he probably just craved the intimacy that comes with being in a long term relationship and tried to recreate or rush that feeling with someone he doesn’t know very well and got spooked. Or maybe he just wasn’t into it but I definitely don’t think I was giving off any indicators that I was looking to be in a long term relationship with him lol we didn’t even talk about our dating expectations.
