Just purchased the 5e essentials kit (dragon of icespire peak) for the family. Any advice?

I used to DM 4th ed about 11 years ago so I have the gist of dming but this time Im doing it for my family. I have 2 kiddos and 2 step kiddos and my wife is joining. Age ranges are 8-16. I am the only one that has played any version of dnd before. If everyone loves it, we will upgrade to the phb, dm guide, monster manual, and go all in with some additional adventures. (pre made because im not creative enough)

Any advice on running the game out of the kit?
