Why did the Witcher 3 completely abandon the WItchers 2 stealth mechanics?

I've always been curious as to why the WItcher 3 didn't go all in with stealth mechanics after the WItcher 2.

The WItcher 2 seemed like it was trying something new with stealth, there was a few stealth sections and Geralt had access to a bunch of traps.

I've always wondered why the WItcher 3 abandoned this gameplay element from the WItcher 2, like I know the stealth sections in the second Witcher game sucked but CDPR clearly thought the stealth mechanics might go somewhere only to completely abandon them in the third game.
