Genesis Health Club Membership

Good Day fellers,
I was looking to get a Genesis membership to work out while I wait for my sister's swim practice, but I have heard negative things about their membership services in the past, contracts, charging after cancellation, and their price ($55m was what I got online.) Just want to hear from the community. I usually go to YMCA but my sister's practice is out in the Goddard Genesis.
