cheap beginner kits
hey! so i’m looking at getting back into some super simple watch repairs (i used to work doing basic repairs at a kiosk a few years ago) and maybe fixing and flipping some stuff out of untested/for parts lots. i’m extremely broke right now so i can’t really build a good set of tools yet, so i was wondering how bad exactly these like $15 kits off like amazon and ebay are.
i did look through this sub but most of the posts i saw asking about these were coming from people who could afford to upgrade to a nicer kit or who were completely new to watch repairs with no idea of the quality or what they need. i’m well aware that these kits are probably kinda trash full of stuff i won’t use. and i’ve used quality stuff before, but for just going back into the hobby and probably doing mostly batteries and bands on stuff from like timex (i’m not touching anything fancier than that, at least at this point) would a kit like this be sufficient?
