necessary gear for riding in the rain

I just moved to a new neighborhood and the public transit options for my commute are not great (Killarney area to Burnaby Lake City Way station) I will be riding my bike to work almost every day - rain or shine. What do I need to (somewhat) comfortably ride in the rain?
