Lost phone - I wasn't the one who ordered

Hi, I lost my phone Friday night in an Uber, which was ordered by a friend, not me. I have been trying for days to contact Uber, but it seems like the fact that I wasn't the one who ordered it has screwed me completely. I tried their AI chat bot which doesn't seem to understand that I can't log in on the account used. Is there anything I can do, or is my phone gone forever?
