Received a violation notice from my HOA in legal state for “strong marijuana smell coming from unit”

I live in Arizona which is both medical and recreationally legal. I have lived and smoked in my townhome/condo (that I own) for 3 years now and today I received this violation notice with a threat of “disciplinary action”. Despite living in a recreational state, I also have my medical card. And not that it should matter, but the “day of violation” I only smoked inside with my windows closed since it is hot af. This seems like the biggest bullshit ever to me and even illegal! Any input is appreciated 🙏🏼
