Is pepperoni a local delicacy in Nova Scotia?
I'm sure there are some Canadians here who can answer this. Don't think I've ever seen a show were pepperoni has almost caused a fight. And especially I've never heard anyone say "fuck that's good pepperoni!" before or after TPB.
I'm also wondering how realistic the show is when it comes to the little details. Like have you ever actually seen someone selling shopping carts? Or do small time criminals bribe janitors with weed? Do some people in trailer parks sleep in their cars and just clear the roof of their belongings with a hockey stick first thing in the morning? Do people just hang around without shirts eating jalapeno chips?
I'm fascinated by all this. It's small details like this that separate TPB from the usual depictions of rural cultures that I've seen in the popular culture.
