Unexpectedly stopping breastfeeding my 6mo baby. Tell me all of the other special ways I get to look forward to bonding with my baby from now into toddlerhood
I'm a FTM and my baby is 6mo. I have to stop breastfeeding within the next 3 months for medical reasons. I absolutely love this time with him & I'm devastated about this. I have plenty of friends/family members who formula feed & have equally special bonds with their babies so I'm aware that this isn't the be all end all, but it is a huge part of my time with him now so it's difficult to imagine for me.
So I'm coming to this community with babies over 1 to give me more to look forward to. Tell me all of your favorite ways that you bonded with your baby once you stopped breastfeeding. Or if you formula fed your infant, please share all of the special moments you remember with your baby from 6mo to 1 year old.
Every parent has their favorite stories & I want to make this thread a positive place where I can visit as I'm weaning to remind myself how much more there is to look forward to that I don't even know is coming yet.
Thank you all
