I think my dad hates my hair.

It may sound stupid ik, but hear me out first.

I'm black, and I have short hair, I used to have a A-train cut but I left my hair grow out since November because I'm getting focused on school and don't have time to go to the barber shop. But whenever my dad gets home from work he always says that my hair is "ugly" and "dirty". My mom got me a bunch on hair products recently and most of the time I spend in the bathroom I'm washing, drying and gently combing my hair. But since it's winter rn, I usually wear hoodies which mess up my hair a little, so my dad only sees me when my hair isn't perfect. I also had a friend who had a goofy afro and my dad would call his hair dirty, even though I've seen myself his arsenal of hair products. Does my dad want me to become bald, heisenberg style, like him or what. What can I do to convince him to let me keep growing out my hair?
