Tattoo infected?

This is the day after my first session for my back tattoo. He had me wrapped in plastic for the night and take it off the following morning. Just noticed that there it is pretty red around the outlining of the wings and random sharp pain. Never really experienced this with a tattoo and I’ve had a whole sleeve of patch work done just wondering if this is normal thanks
