how strict are ur guys stores!
how strict are ur guys stores! i just transferred to a new store after 3.5 years working at my first store! my first store i thought was pretty normal, they enforce dress code, sanitary rules, basic stuff, but the new store im at is on a level i didn’t know existed😭😭 i feel like im clocking into the navy and i just wanna know how normal/abnormal this is, since its only the second store ive ever worked at. examples of stuff very strictly enforced is - absolutely no phones on the floor at all - no rags out at all to wipe down counters u have to put them back in the bucket every single time - dpm must stay updated to the second even if very busy - no leaving the floor for anything during peak (more normal for sure but i saw someone be literally scolded for changing the trashes when we were dead for a few min and they were all full) - we can’t make any of our drinks or food ourselves at all😭 this is really unusual for me. we have to mark everything out which is understandable but also not something that i’m used to, we have to wait and order it like a customer on our break time, and we cannot use the plastic cups at all. we have to bring our own cup or use a for here cup/plate. - random things that just make it very strict and brings a military anxiety while ur on the floor like making sure everything is made and steps are followed exactly to standard down to what order you’re putting stuff in the blender for a frap, or you can’t put the shaker cap there it has to go here, don’t put the inclusions in the shaker then, put them in at this time, etc. just small stuff that at my old store we never had time to micromanage bc firstly IT DOESNT MATTER and secondly we are too busy and stressed to be worried about stuff so miniscule😭 - we have to hold down the button on the headset to talk to each other we can’t just push it once and have it on. to encourage no talking to each other 😭😭 HELP. is this normal. or completely insane. or between. idk. i’m just venting bc this is such an adjustment and feels hostile :(
