Permit parking longer than 3 days?

This thing says that if you have a permit, you can't "store" your vehicle (i.e., parking in the same spot longer than 3 days). Has anyone tried it? How strictly do they enforce it? What would happen if you leave your vehicle somewhere for 3+days?
