Dispite the hate stalker 2 scratches a itch not many games do
So I love open wold post apocalyptic games, but this game made me start thinking why I enjoy the setting so much and this is what I came up with. I'm calling it the "last one get the lights" atmosphere, it probably haves a proper name but that's what I'm calling it. It's the feeling that you might be the first person to return to a spot in a long time. A few examples is the old blue sky base, the Northern farm in the cordon, or even the numerous little stashes, bases and caves where something killed everyone who would bother coming back.Going back to these places that were semi major bases or locations or even Cleary populated only to find them abandoned just makes the game feel so much more unforgiven. Like who was the last one to leave, what did they take? Did they plan on coming back? The only other game that really scratches this itch is metro. I know it's kinda redundant to say that I like abandoned places in games but that specific feelings that a place could be a major part of something some time ago is now just a crumbling ruin that is just resting because everyone who knew what it was left in one way or another.
Anyway what do you all think about stuff like this
