"Black is the new beige" since I was determined to turn everything beige to black color...
After approx 2.5 years in the making, finally have finished this "semi-sleeper" Sandy Bridge rig. I guess is the appropriate term as per following specs.
Under the hood:
Case: InWin H500 PSU: 500W LC Power LC500H
CPU: Stock Intel i5 2500k LGA1155 with stock CPU cooler
MOBO: Gigabyte PH67-UD3-B3 rev1.1
RAM: 4x RAM modules of 4GB each, totalling 16GB, Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz
GFX: Nvidia Geforce Gigabyte 1050ti GTX low profile 4GB OC edition
SSD: Western Digital Blue 500GB SSD for Windows 10 OS
SSD: Samsung 4TB SSD for multimedia, game installs etc housed inside the Delock 3.5" mobile rack enclosure.
2nd 3.5 bay: Akasa USB2.0 Multiple AIO card reader.
FAN: Noctua NF-R8 Redux 80mm 1200 3-pin placed on back for air exhaust.
5.25 bay: 5.25 Case box for general storage purposes Optical drive: LG BG16NS40 16x SATA Bluray/DVD R/W
CRT: LaCie electron 22 blue model II PC CRT 20", connected to the Nvidia display port using Delock 62967 display port 1.2 to VGA adapter.
Keyboard: 10-keyless Corsair K63 wireless cherry MX red.
Controller: Speedlink Xeox SL-6556 RAIT
Mouse: Black Amiga Wireless/BT Tank mouse (invisibile scrollwheel)
WiFi adapter: TP-link AC600 Nano WiFi/ BT4.2 USB adapter.
Speakers: Juster Active 95a
Case chosen as I love the horizontal form factor, and initially it was going to house the Pentium III as seen in one of the photos.
Then a friend of mine gave me the mobo and CPU and hence led me to change case and
As a retro gamer, this project serves me emulating games upto PlayStation 2 with ease and occasionally play some modern games as well.
Am super happy of how this turned out. :)
