What are everyone’s thoughts on the worksharp professional precision adjust?

Have had the work sharp professional for about a week now and the only complaint I have is using the larger kitchen knives and being worried about bending the tip. I just bought some stability rods that go under the knife in an effort to take the load off the clamp. What are your thoughts on this setup? Should I return it and just learn free-handing or do you think I can get razor sharp edges from the work sharp? Let me know! Thanks.
