What simple website builder do you recommend?

I believe we should all have a website to link to at the end of our ebooks.

First I should say I would prefer a UK based or global company, like Wix or goDaddy.

I'd like to do this rather than outsource it as I think it is a way to cut costs. I can design one of these simple cut and paste websites as a 'hub' to show off my books, but I want to know what you all think is the best.

Problem is, I research the different companies and they all seem good, but I don't want to dive in and find out big problems later down the line. Recommendations from fellow writers mean more to me than anything else.

It has to be cheap, and look good on both desktop and phone. The websites I've created before never looked very good on phone.
