Name your progressive voting choices. Who do you support in down-ticket races and why?

I'll start.

State - Michigan

Stein for president

Elissa Slotkin for Senate. She's not a progressive but is good on some issues and is way better than the Trumpie republican.

Kimberly Ann Thomas for State Supreme Court - she's done some really good work at the Juvenile Justice Clinic and she helps low-income people who wouldn't have access to legal support. Her opponent is ultra-conservative Andrew Fink so this one is an easy choice.

Kyra Harris Bolden for the other open State Supreme Court. Less thrilled about this one but the opponent is horrible so again it's an easy choice. She has ruled on the correct side of some issues including some bills protecting SA survivors.

Congress -5th district Libbi Urban. She's a former steelworker and union member. This would be her first public office. She supports reproductive freedom, protecting Medicare and Social Security, clean air and water programs and gun reform. Her opponent is a MAGA Tim Walberg who wants to criminalize abortion and opposes LGBTQ+ rights.

If voting dem isn't your thing then Jim Bronke is running for congress in the 5th for the Green Party. I've met him and came away unimpressed. His passion seems to be stronger borders and eliminating foreign aid. I'd vote for Libbi if I was in the 5th.

Congress -8th district Kristen McDonald Rivet is pretty good. She's a state senator running for congress. She passed laws that overturned "right to work" and laws that adopted LGBTQ+ civil rights protections. She has a MAGA opponent that is campaigning on corporate tax breaks, criminalizing abortion and drill baby drill. Easy choice.

Congress - 12th district and an easy vote for me Rashida Tlaib

State Rep - Alabas Farhat 3rd district is ok. He voted the right way on policies but didn't really put his neck out. His opponent is s monster so this should be an easy choice.
