thinking of canceling future jobs with dog owner

Hello, I have been petsitting for a couple who has two dogs and a cat. Before I went over they explained to me that they were itching due to yeast infections. I spent this past weekend with the animals. I began itching after the first day and didn’t think anything. A few days ago the owners took them to the vet and turns out it was scabies. I have been taking all precautions and used permethrin yesterday. I was supposed to sit for the animals this weekend but that is obviously off. Here is where I want advice: I have agreed to petsit for them nearly every weekend in February and while they are getting treated I am a little paranoid of being in a house with possibly live mites or dead mites that can cause itching. Should I cancel? I am supposed to get skin surgery in February and don’t want to risk having to cancel the date and I don’t want to be reinfected. What do you guys think?
