Skilling and mtx, a possible fix?

So after reading that people think it's healthy, great, time saving or how ever you want to put it, I have come to the conclusion people have forgotten what makes RuneScape, RuneScape.

I put it to you to think about this, if jagex wanted to keep their mtx and wanted to keep healthy gameplay, they should just remove all Skilling skills, fishing, woodcutting, fire making, cooking, rune crafting, divination, herblore, and all the rest, because the amount of people that buy keys just to skip these skills is crazy imo, what's the point in having these skills if you never cut a tree, craft a bow, make a rune, fish a fish etc, if you're doing it just for one of thing, example a quest or a "strong weapon" then the skill requirements could just be removed honestly. They could take an approach and hear me out, just like guild wars 2, and make the game a pvm master piece.

Jagex would be able to dedicate so much more time to actuall meaningfull and fun content and make strong weapons require "Matts" (materials) from some resources around the game, some from quests rewards and also some from boss rewards.

I really think an approach like that could help the game massively.

If you are unsure about how guildwars works look into it, they sell just cosmetics, and legendary weapons and armors are crafted with only in-game resources, bosses, some tradable some not. Yes guildwars has Skilling stats too but they take less than an hour to max and about 2-3hrs of gold making to be able to afford.

So maybe instead of having this long grinds they could just remove them and focus the grinds into pvming and events etc.

Edit* for Skilling you could have for example have an endgame weapon like a bow require 15000 logs and you know a stacked amount of other resources, meaning skillers could skill for raw gp to sell these resources to people who don't want to cut 15000 trees for their bow.
