Me(27F) and a guy(23M) what should i do?

I have been seeing this guy (23M) for around 5 dates after we met at a run club.

So I have been growing my feelings towards him and I asked him about how he feels about me on the 5th date. He is going through tough situation as he needs to work on his family's funeral and etc. Also he said he never been single in his 20s as he always had gfs and the time gap of previous relationships were only like 1month. His last relationship ended last February.

He said he is not emotionally unavailable for now and because he's never been single for long time, he would like to have some time for himself. But he would love to hang out with me still as he likes me and he likes the connection with me.

In this situation, i am not sure what to do as I want to be in a relationship as my feelings been growing. My friends are like just call it off and move on but should I wait for him ?
