Realistic Expectations
Looking into getting my Real Estate license in Georgia. Just bringing to get my feet wet in information. We are a one income based family right now with my husband working full time, who may want to get into real estate too. He is also able to step away (especially when things are planned) so he can work for home. We do have children at home, so no child care availability. We do have a few connections in real estate.
What are some real expectations for the first year?
Fees no one talks about?
Time spend at the office?
Is there a way to be on a team and work from home during the week, while taking on the open houses on the weekends?
Being able to be a team member while also being a mother, is that possible?
How much savings should we have so we don't go in the hole?
Thank you, any advice would be helpful!
EDIT: I want to clarify about the weekends. I wasn't saying I would only work weekends. What I was trying to say was, market throughout the week, cold calling, follow up emails/calls, but be more available to see clients and open houses on the weekends. My husband has the ability to work from home most days so I was picking the worst case scenario.
We aren't looking to make an easy buck, it is a career path we want to succeed in.
