Can walking a reactive dog with a baby (stroller or carrier) be done safely?

I’m 5 months pregnant with my first child now. My dog is a 60lb boxer/lab mix. Pre pregnancy, I was walking my dog frequently and she was gradually getting better at passing other people/dogs without incident; I’d just put her in a heel and talk softly to her until we passed. Unfortunately, morning sickness and fatigue took me out bad and I haven’t walked her in months (she’s been getting exercise and enrichment at home, but she’s likely out of practice with passing strangers at this point).

She could definitely benefit from the exercise and simulation of regular walks, but after the baby comes I’m having trouble envisioning how to handle my dog while I also have a baby with me. Like I said, she was getting good at reacting less and less, but she still would growl and lunge on occasion which was usually sudden and hard to predict. Just curious for any tips or insight from anyone who’s dealt with this before.

If it matters, her reactivity is 100% fear based. She’s excellent with people and dogs who she knows and considers “friends,” but she’s very untrusting of strangers. Especially if they invade her space or make sudden movements towards her. She has never landed a bite.
