Can I have a baby shower?

For some context I’m pregnant with my second baby with my first my family threw me a baby shower in a different state but due to being in the hospital I wasn’t able to attend my baby shower. I want to throw one out here but of course it’ll be my husband and I paying for everything I won’t ask my family to throw another one. We will be passing down the crib to our new baby and other things but I just want a baby shower that I can actually attend and participate in some family members think it’s a dumb idea because I technically already had one but couldn’t go to it. Also I want to know if I can create a baby registry with this baby since with my first I never did I just want to for the experience mainly.
