I keep seeing everyone talking about using DDJ to install new Nvidia drivers every time and I have a doubt:
I tried it just once, following DDU’s guide step by step and it went terribly wrong, guess I’m less tech savvy than I thought I was. Not only did I not ended up managing to make the fresh install, my PC went unusable and it took me nearly 2 hours of google + ChatGPT to trouble shoot it, after wich I uninstalled DDU to never look at it again. I’ve been installing driver updates through the Nvidia app every time they come out, through control panel before the app, and NEVER had an issue so far.
Is it okey to install drivers the way it’s designed for 99% of gamers not active on Reddit tech forums to update their drivers. Or is it just wrong to update the drivers this way, ensuring performance and stability issues?
Is using DDU a solution for when doing the quick installation throught the app doesn’t works fine, or is it something that should be done for EVERY driver update?
If I’m actually leaving performance on the table I will do thorough reading and try it again. But if not, I rather not go through the panic attack again.
