5080 vs 4080 competitive

Ok so here’s the situation, I’m getting very close to having all parts for my pc build, last couple things are a gpu, cpu, and a motherboard. I’ve been in talks with getting a 4080 and obviously the 50 series including 5080 has just been announced.

There’s a microcenter about an hour away from me and people seem to think they’ll have it on the release day of Jan 30th.

For competitive gaming like cod and some single player games like MSFS and other main AAA titles, would it be worth it to wait and spend the same amount of money on a new card or just get the 4080. Raw performance seems similar, just the upgrades in DLSS4.
