Racist teacher?

My sixth graders tell me their yt math teacher is racist. I don’t know what to say because (I agree with the students) I don’t want them to stop listening and not learn any math.

Any advice for what I can tell them besides looking forward to their seventh grade math teacher who can speak Spanish and doesn’t put them down disproportionately? Two students in the past week have cried because the teacher has been so stressed and taking it out on them.

I take them on breaks to talk about it and let them vent without giving much of my opinion and try to just redirect them by doing something fun (mostly movement breaks in the gym or snack breaks).

I really don’t want them to hate the teacher because it would just make them not learn. Should I talk to the teacher about it?
