Honest question for veterans: how do you do it?
Hi everyone. I’ve been doing the Oscars Death Race for almost 10 years now. Mostly because it’s fun, but also because I like watching (and discovering) things I otherwise wouldn’t.
This year however there’s a particular movie I already watched and that now is really discouraging me from watching anything else. I’m struggling to understand why it’s being so praised in the main categories, when I found it so absurdly terrible and with no redeeming features.
In past years there have obviously been movies I didn’t enjoy, but none had had this effect of just feeling, is it even worth it if this is the quality that is being lauded?
Have you ever felt that? And how have you gone past it and not lost your faith in cinema? Lol
