How did Isabella Rossellini get nominated for best supporting actress?

Sorry if this sounds rude but I watched conclave yesterday and was actually blown away how good the film was but Isabella's role in the whole film felt like a cameo to me she was barely in it.

Her performance was good in the film but overall in those 2 hours she was in like 10 minutes of the whole movie. Can someone tell me how did she get nominated? I'm not complaining just want an answer (again sorry if this sounds rude).
