Getting a part time job as a student

I’ll be joining UON this fall and freaking out about finding jobs in the city to fund my living expenses. I’ll hopefully have enough to help me for the first 1-1.5 months but will really need to find something in the meantime. I’m also leaving behind a very cushy marketing job at a MNC so really concerned. Just wanted to know how hard it is to find work that can help me get around £900 to £1k/month.
