Just started with this series… and wow.

So I’ve heard about this franchise before and I actually tried it when i got Ninja Gaiden Sigma back when it released (and sucked at it, and that’s probably why I stopped playing back then) but it really wasn’t until the shadow drop of NG2 Black yesterday I truly became interested in this series again.

So I’ve downloaded the Master Collection (except for NG2, since I’ll be playing the new remake/remaster instead) on my XSX since it’s on game pass and… wow, holy sh*t guys. This is probably the greatest hack’n’slash video game series ever. I know that this series is notorious for being difficult, but I’ve played and completed all of the Soulsborne games so I know that it’s all about patience and, uh, yeah, “gitting gut”, so the first hours weren’t as hard as I expected them to be.

But I didn’t really expect to get hooked and stay up all night, all the way into this day’s noon, playing the first game. I love how challenging and rewarding it is. I love how well the enemies are designed, and I absolutely love the entire vibe and atmosphere. I just finished the first game, and I’ll be starting NG2 Black tomorrow, then Razor’s Edge. I definitely can’t wait for the announced fourth title.
