Regarding the lack of defense in todays NBA compared to the 90s
I think its simply not possible have defense like the 90s. Back in the 90s every player just stayed under the rim as players couldn't shoot behind the arc and they had to drive and collide giving "good defensive plays" but now there are lots of players who can shoot 38-40% behind the arc so players can't just sit below the rim to defend so it creates a lot more space so it just create more opportunities for a pick and roll so it gives the illusion of "lack of effort in defense". Agree??
