Dillon Brooks Is Having The Best Season of His Career

When the Rockets signed Dillon Brooks to a 4-year, $80 million deal in the 2023 offseason, the move was heavily criticized. Many in the media (and on Reddit—just check the thread here) questioned the contract, calling it an overpay for an inefficient scorer with questionable shot selection.

Despite that, Brooks is quietly having one of the best seasons of his career with the Rockets. He’s averaging 13.5 PPG, 4.0 RPG, and 1.6 APG, shooting 41.7% from the field and a career-high 39.6% from three. He and Fred VanVleet have been a huge part of the Rockets' turnaround this season.
