Name regret - Adrian
We named our baby boy (now 6 months old) Adrian and I am having some regrets:
- It feels long to say (3 syllables) with no natural nicknames. We thought "Adi" would be a good nickname but it hasn't taken on
- It almost feels hard to say (the "Adri" part) and doesn't roll off the tongue easily. My dad is Iranian and has a hard time saying it
- Some people have commented that they thought it was a female name. I know Adi is a nickname for names like Addison, Audrey, etc.
Can anyone reassure me of our choice?! Our other top choice was Aiden and I kind of wish we had just gone with that but I worried about its popularity / trendiness. Can I just call him Aiden??
