I want to create (online) local film community. Looking for advice.

I'm a huge fan of movies and shows, but unfortunately I don't have anyone in real life to talk about it with. I live in a small country and I want to make a local online film community (a "club" if you will) for discussing movies/shows, and possibly make some like-minded connections. Is this a good idea? And if so, what is the best way to do it? I was thinking Discord, but I don't use it and have no idea if that could work. Any advice is appreciated!
