Breastfeeding help needed

[I posted this earlier on the breastfeeding sub, but I didn't get any responses so I'm trying here as y'all have been so helpful for all my other questions and I figure there's a lot of experienced breastfeeding moms here]

Please send help! My 9mo has 6 teeth (4 top, 2 bottom), and yesterday just CHOMPED hard on my nipples. She has done it before, usually right when the teeth came out. In those cases, I said ouch (naturally, not planned- haha), pushed her face into my breast (so she would let go to breathe, recommended by a IBCLC), removed her from the breast, showed her pained face, and tried the other side. That had worked, but just yesterday was the worst! She did REALLY hard on one side, I did the normal routine with the "ouch" and pained face, and she just laughed. Then when I brought her to the other side she chomped down again. My husband swapped out with her and she cried in his arms for a bit while I iced my nipples. I came back and fed her and she did not do it again.

Two questions: 1.) What should I be doing differently to stop this biting? (So far only my nipples) 2.) How do I care for my nipples in the meantime?

Thanks in advance! My husband said that his mom stopped BF because he would bite her. That's not an option for me, but I also want to avoid this pain.
