Can someone please explain to me the crazy layout?

When trying to find ANYTHING I need, I'll look for what aisle number it's on. Why would aisle 73 be on the complete opposite side of the store from aisle 72? Why isn't the water softener salt in the same aisle as the water softener units? Why wouldn't I find garden gates in the gardening supplies? Why is there a portable washing machine next to the paint? THIS STORE MAKES NO SENSE and it's the ONLY hardware store within 200 miles of me. Not to mention everything they sell breaks within a year. Gone through 4 heaters, thank goodness for warranty but this is ridiculous.
