Is NIH IRTA Worth It?
Hey guys, I've been trying to decide what to do for my gap year and I came across the NIH IRTA. I'm really interested in research, particularly public health research and I've come across a couple of PIs doing the exact kind of work I want to do. My issue I the financials. I would have to move from Michigan with likely no financial support. I know the stipend isn't much but I heard it's possible with roommates. The thing is I'd have to go in blind because I don't have any other friends applying. I'm also concerned considering the incoming presidential election. Is this experience feasible and would you say it was worthwhile?
