Currently locked out of my room because of the latch. What are my options?

I just arrived to the hotel after working all day and I cannot get in the room. The latch that you use so people can’t get in when you are on the inside somehow latched after I left.

The front desk said he is the only one here and he could give me an other room. I said that isn’t going to work. My medication is in there that I have to take this evening. I have to do laundry as I was supposed to leave tomorrow but I am not leaving until Saturday and I don’t have any clean scrubs for tomorrow. I was going to work out while I was doing laundry and my workout clothes are in there. No I don’t want a different room. I need my stuff.

He said he is going to make calls but he said I am pretty sure I will only get a voice mail. I told him to figure it out because I need access to my stuff.

What are my options if he just decided to leave a voice mail for someone? Can I call the police and they can open the door? What should I do. He didn’t sound like he was going to help much.

I just ate my dinner in the hallway outside of my room. Ugh. Just get me in my room.
