Can you talk about marketing without talking about politics?
Okay, so I got into a little internet debate with some well-meaning folks who think you can't talk marketing without talking politics. I disagree. I think you can totally discuss a brand's marketing strategy without it getting political. I originally wanted to do a simple yes/no poll to prove my point, but polls aren't working in that subreddit. Which is cool, there are probably good reasons why they're not allowed.
But now I'm just curious: if you're currently doing marketing for a brand or business, how often does politics come up in meetings, planning, or when you're thinking about your brand?
