What would actually end bicycle theft?

Recognising this post as lofty dreams, im fortunate that i can lock my main comuter e bike out of site within my work's premices.

I have an asgard bike shed and a policy with yellow jersey.

Despite this level of precaution I still feel the the need to be thorough and ultimately uncomfortable cycling to and locking up in most public places, like i need tp to run a cheap or beater bike to be unburdened of risk or potential theft in some place
