Controller disconnects every time I boot/wake up my computer

My controller (8bitdo pro 2 HE xbox) completely disconnects every time I wake up or boot my computer. In order to get it to properly connect I have to completely unplug it and plug it back in. Preferably it would just automatically turn on as soon as my computer turns on. I have tried using usbreset to reset the port but that didn't do anything.

Haven't found this particular problem really anywhere else.
