"Speak of the Devil" Quest Help SPOILER

Does anyone have any advice on how to get through the "Speak of the Devil" quest? Particularly the ambush fight? It always ends up with everyone dying (Zizka included), and I'm stuck with a 1 vs 7; same result even if I manage to shoot the fully plate armored enemy.

Shame on me, because the game warns you that you're crossing into a "Crucial Point" when in Trosky, I wish that I would have taken the time to train my hand-to-hand more. I've been able to hold my own, but ever since going to Kuttenberg, my hand to hand is completely shit.
