Extraction mission rules.

The extraction mission rules state the last objective searched can be picked up. The problem here being that last has more that one definition. Last can mean final, but it can also mean most recent.

Me and a friend played kill team recently and both assumed it was a different meaning of the word last.

Which way is correct? Is there an actually ruling somewhere from GW about this?
