Rolling my eyes
Goes on this whole rant basically insinuating that she wants to step away from Instagram, to then ask people what they want to see from her. The only thing people want to see is you being a present mother, and by that, I don’t mean that we want to see Preston all over your Instagram and to be reminded everyday that you’re “obsessed” with him. She should take a page out of Allie Hunter’s book and continue her Amazon shilling (if she wants to) but STOP posting about her life. That’s where she gets the most hate. And you can tell it’s all starting to eat at her. I think back before Preston when she continuously posted “what do you want to see from me” and the consensus was “everyday stuff” she thrived on going to appointments and showing her bopping around time getting coffee, hair done, nails done, lunch with friends, etc. I think she was convinced that THAT is why people follow her and what they want to see. So much so that she decided she needed a nanny so she could continue to bop around and “give the people what they want”. However I followed her because I genuinely liked seeing her “everyday” stuff. We always seemed to be in the same season of life: engaged, planning the wedding, bachelorette, wedding, honeymoon, pregnant, mom life. I assumed that “everyday” stuff would naturally transition into everyday mom stuff. But she stuck with the everyday pre Preston stuff. That’s not what people want to see and most people cannot relate to that. I’m a full time stay at home mom and my husband and son have a “boys day” on Saturdays so I can get stuff done, which includes errands, nails every other week, hair every other month, and whatever other stuff I need to get done for self care of personal maintenance. The difference between Janelle and I is that I don’t make those appointments my entire personality. I am home 99% of the time so I really don’t even need to be getting my hair and nails done, but my husband encourages me to get out of the house and do things that feel normal to me and help me feel more like myself. Pre baby the most important things to me were my relationship with my husband (obviously) and my appearance. I can definitely admit I was shallow and selfish but becoming a mother has changed me SO much. My priorities have changed and the most important things to me are my husband (still), my baby, our health, and our happiness. Nothing else even comes close. Sadly it is very obvious that Janelle’s priorities have never been reshuffled. For her mental health and the future of her family, I genuinely think she needs to rethink her presence on instagram. She can still make money without exploiting her and her families lives.
