You are on a hiking trip with friends/family/new acquaintances. In each of these scenarios, one of you inexplicably discovers knives in one of your packs with no idea how they got there. How would you react in each scenario?

To be clear

• the knives are not yours even if you normally bring a knife or hatchet - you have identified that yours is secure
• the additional knives are not secured and appear to have been brought/left in the pack, and there are more than the number of people you went with
• This scenario happens in 3 different ways
  • what would you do if it were friends
  • if it were family members
  • if you had joined a hiking group of people you had a reasonable amount of trust and scrutiny toward

Would you interrogate each person? What would you do with the knives themselves, bury them, not tell anyone, hide them and bring one to the police? Would you just leave without saying anything?
