Job Change Advice [CT]

Hi! I’m currently a 37 year old Human Resources Business Partner. I love my job, however, a position as a manager on our company’s DEIB team has just opened up and I was approached about applying. (This would be a lateral move as an individual contributor) I’m very involved in our BRG groups and I often participate in a lot of the DEIB events- I’m very interested in that area of the HR space. However- I’m wondering if long term this is a smart career move? My current role is largely remote but the new role involves a lot of travel. Also, I’m relatively introverted but this new role would involve more public speaking and meeting new people- which isn’t a deal breaker, but outside my comfort zone. Pay increase would be negligible, as this would be a lateral move. Opinions are welcome!! Thanks in advance!!! 😊
