Wondering if there’s any hope for this small Monstera I took out of the trash…

Just wondering if anyone has any predictions on the fate of this small monstera that I’m trying to root? It showed very promising, fresh white root nubs and growth and then one day, while changing its water, I forgot to put it back right away and left it on my windowsill 🫣🫢 soo, couple questions:

1) It’s a Mama with a new leaf (Pic 3, 4, 5) Both Mama and new leaf have lost a lot of that deep green they once had. They almost look like a yellowish-green now, and speckled almost. Why?

2) Are the brown soggy spots on the roots (Pic 8, Pic 9) a sign of pest or disease? If so, could this be why I’ve had it for so long in water and no new root growth?

3) lastly, Pic 6 & 7 show what I believe to be Root nubs. This is good news, but does anyone see this plant growing roots? How come she’s lost so much of that green depth she once had?
