Your thoughts on MALIGNANT?
I‘m a huge James Wan fan, he especially influenced me as a filmmaker. In my opinion he made the greatest horror flicks of the last two decades. Really enjoy his storytelling technique, his choice of cinematography, his humor, him as a person.
I LOVED Malignant so so much. It was something really really different. Wan wanted to step back from haunted house storys and made such an amazing movie. At first [and I think its brilliant] it starts like a traditional haunted house flick, but then it turns into a very creepy, weird thing. And that’s what I love about this movies. It has some old 80s, even giallo vibes. In some scenes its really overdramatized but it works so nice. [I‘m adopted.“ - BASS DROP - love that 😂] And god that plot twists…so good.
I really respect and appreciate it when a filmmaker tries new ways to explore his creativity.
What are your thoughts on that one?
